The countrys largest theater company is opening a Vietnamese cinema complex in New York.
The company, Cinemas V, said the complex, which opened on Friday, will feature more than 50 cinemas across six theaters and a cinema house.
The first of the theaters will open on Monday, and a second is slated to open in January, it said in a statement.
The theater is being managed by New York City-based company Cinemas Cinemas, which has partnered with the Vietnamese American Arts Foundation and the VCIH.
The company said the new cinema complex will include 35 cinema screens, 15 cinemas and a theater house.
It said it has invested $25 million in the project and expects to open more than 100 cinemas in the next few years.
The Vietnam Film Festival, an organization founded by VCIHK leader, was set up to bring Vietnamese films to the US.
Vietnamese cinema has been a key source of entertainment for VCIK, which was founded in 1962 by a group of film producers.
It is the largest cinema in Vietnam and one of the worlds largest.
