Chicago Cultural Center director Jim Henson says he would “probably” have liked to have been cast as a character in the movie “Weird” because he was “very much a part of that” before he met the director.
“Weird was a little bit of a strange movie, so I had this vision of myself being the director and having a role in it, but the truth of the matter is that it would be more easier if we didn’t think about that.
We didn’t have that many other actors in the picture.
It was just me and Henson.
I had to learn from my mistakes.”
Henson, the son of Jerry, the film’s director, said he was disappointed that the movie didn’t become a franchise.
“I was just kind of a guy who wanted to be in it,” he said.
“It would have been easier if they’d made a bigger movie, but I had a lot of fun with it.”
Harrison Ford is not happy about the film.
“There’s a lot to be said for making it as a small indie film, making it for people who really like the characters,” he told the Hollywood Reporter in June.
“But that’s about it.”
In an interview with Variety magazine in April, Ford said the film was a “sad day” for film fans.
“It was really sad that I’m not in the film anymore,” he wrote.
“I’ve had an amazing career in television, but that film was so special, it wasn’t about me anymore.”
Ford also said he didn’t believe he was a good fit for the role, given his experience playing a child actor in “The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad.”
He added, “I think people will be shocked when they find out I’ve played a child in a big, blockbuster film.”
Hoffman, who played the lead role in the “Weeds” series, also told Variety magazine that he’s not sure if he would have wanted to play the role.
“For me, I was always a character actor, not a child.
So I was definitely not a part for this movie,” he replied.
“There’s nothing wrong with being a child.”
Hanson has said the project was “too dark” and would not have been a “great fit” for his character.
“As an actor, I wanted to see him as a young man, as a guy, who’s not a criminal,” he has said.
Hanson, who also played the character of Johnny in “Pulp Fiction,” said he would be willing to reprise his role in “Weed” if there was a new director in place.
“Any director who wants to do that, I’ll be happy to work with them,” he added.
“If they want me to do a ‘Weeds’ sequel, that would be awesome, too.
But we’re just getting started.”
